In this day and age, physical buttons are disappearing from cell phones, and tablets are silencing the clickety-clack of laptops that once rang throughout cafés and living rooms. It wouldn’t be too much of a surprise if they started putting touchscreens in elevators, which would totally take the fun out of pressing all the buttons and stranding whoever gets on next.
Fear not, though. Car and Driver is reporting that buttons are making a comeback on the consoles of Lincoln cars, a place where they have been sorely missed. The upcoming 2015 MKC will be the first of their line to restore comfortable buttons and dials to the control panel for heating, cooling, and tuning purposes. The navigation and information touchscreen will remain, though.
