Father’s Day 2019 Weekend Fun

Father’s Day is only a few days away and if you still haven’t made plans, you have time. There are several activities happening throughout the weekend – some free and some at a low cost. Activities perfect for all ages. On top of that, the weather looks to be absolutely gorgeous so that is always a plus. Check out what’s going on!

Take full advantage of the beautiful weather and head over to the Pollinator Festival Saturday, June 15, at Lake Crabtree in Raleigh, NC. It takes place 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is free. This is the seventh annual festival and there will be lots of activities for everyone including games, food, crafts and more.

Summer is here and so is the Movie By Moonlight series at Dorothea Dix Park. Seating opens at 7:30 p.m. with the start of the movie following at 8:30 p.m. RSVP is recommended. Click here for more details including the movie being shown, directions and more.

This Father’s Day weekend take part in a tour of downtown Raleigh. You get to see some of Raleigh’s landmarks while at the same time learning about the capital city of North Carolina. Learn more here.

If sports is your thing, then this is for you. There is certainly no shortage of sports attractions in the Triangle area. This weekend you have options like heading to Zebulon, NC, for a Carolina Mudcats baseball game at Five County Stadium. Games will be going on all weekend Friday-Sunday. There’s even more baseball! The Durham Bulls are also playing all weekend.

Of course you can always spend good quality time at home relaxing with loved ones. Enjoy the weekend with friends and family. Sit back, maybe grill out, have good conversation and lots of laughs. Whether you stay home or go out, make this weekend one to remember. Make it one for the books.
