The 2015 MKC: Performance

MPGhero

This week, Leith Lincoln would like to showcase some of the finer points of a car that we are all very excited about. We present to you Lincoln’s first luxury crossover, the 2015 MKC.

Today our focus is on the MKC’s masterful performance. It arrives with the option for the 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine, exclusive to the MKC and capable of generating 275 horsepower and 300 pound-feet of torque. Turbocharging, direct injection, and Lincoln’s twin-independent variable cam timing (TI-VCT) combine with the four-cylinder engine to form a trifecta of top-notch technology that will make the smaller, more efficient EcoBoost seem like a V-6.

To ensure that the MKC gives you the smoothest ride of any vehicle, Lincoln has perfected a continuously controlled damping system, standard to the all-wheel-drive version. CCD employs twelve sensors that read from forty-six different variables and make adjustments up to twenty times a second. With all four wheels independently reacting, bumpy roads are a thing of the past.

The 2015 MKC will arrive on showroom floors next summer. If you’re interested in this vehicle, leave a comment, email us at comments@leithmail.com, or contact us at Leith Lincoln.
